How we work

Purpose Social Homes is a demand-led and purpose-driven organisation dedicated to empowering and supporting individuals who have learning disabilities and/or autism. Our commitment to positively impacting people’s lives has been the driving force behind our success.

Every project we undertake begins with a single idea - to create a bespoke environment that enhances the lives of residents. Our focus is on providing homes that are more than just ‘fit for purpose’ but ‘fit to flourish’, which improves the overall well-being of the individuals we house.

We are committed to providing progressive housing solutions for people who are valued in our communities.

Our Vision

A more civilised society.

How a society treats its most vulnerable people is a measure of its humanity. It is the duty of society to care for those who for whatever reason, and to whatever extent, are unable to look after themselves. At Purpose Social Homes, we strive towards this vision via providing vulnerable people with high-quality homes, a basic right anyone would wish for themselves or their families, thus promoting equality and inclusivity.

Our Mission

Raising the Quality Bar of Specialised Supported Housing.

At Purpose Social Homes, the difference being made in society stems from the bespoke quality of our homes. We believe in building properties with superior specifications and incorporating a need-led bespoke design that will raise the standard for social housing.

Our Values

Respect, Trust, Balance

We understand the challenges around the collaboration required between public, private and third sectors to deliver our vision and mission. We are focused on building balanced relationships founded on mutual trust and respect with those for whom collaboration is a prerequisite.

Our Purpose

To provide 2,000 beds of Sustainable, Specialised Supported Housing.

Our objective is to establish and maintain 2,000 beds of sustainable, Specialised Supported Housing. Our homes are tailored to the needs of each individual requiring support and assistance in various aspects of their lives. By delivering a substantial number of beds, we aim to address the pressing demand for accessible and accommodating housing for those who require additional support.

Our Process

Step 1

Step 1

We work with the multiple stakeholders necessary to fully understand the bespoke needs of each resident(s) - taking into account not only their physical needs, but also the emotional ones.
Step 2

Step 2

We find and develop a suitable property to reach the exact requirements - we pride ourselves in delivering every project to the utmost quality along with efficient timelines and at pace.
Step 3

Step 3

Once the project is complete, we provide a thorough handover to the housing association and support team - communication throughout the project is key to ensure this is a smooth process.
Step 4

Step 4

Following the handover, we keep in touch by managing any teething problems that may occur. We also conduct interviews to obtain an NPS rating. The purpose of the NPS exercise is to ensure that Purpose Social Home is constantly learning and evolving proactively to improve service and delivery.

Quality

Quality

"Give attention to the details and excellence will come"
Steve Jobs

When good is not good enough, we provide bespoke homes that enrich lives and provide long term solutions to improve wellbeing and independence.

Quality comes in not only the level of workmanship, but also within the level of thought and attention to detail which makes all the difference in creating a home, not just a house.

Consideration

Consideration

"Public money ought to be touched with the most scrupulous consciousness of honour"
Thomas Paine

Dealing with the public purse is a responsibility we take very seriously. Never frivolous or wasteful, we provide solutions to the brief we’re given and treat every single one as an individual project – there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach to what we do.

Using new and tailored design features and innovations, we ensure that the future is considered as well as the present, which enhances the lives of residents and future-proofs public funds.

Collaboration

Collaboration

"Coming together is a beginning, keeping together is progress, working together is success"
Henry Ford

We are proud of the strong relationships we build with our partners, the residents and their families. We know that these close relationships help us to provide adults, with complex needs, homes that increase stability and independence.
