Summary
Upway is a Property Upgrade and Refurbishment project to provide Specialised Supported housing with staff accommodation for a resident with Learning disabilities and/or Autism.

The works included
Refurbishment and alteration of a 3-bed bungalow with parking to provide comfortable, calming, modern independent living accommodation for 2-1 live-in support.
External green space to create a comfortable environment for the resident along with exterior storage within a renovated garden shed.
Electrical Vehicle charger to futureproof property and to encourage environmentally friendly transportation.
Solar panels are fitted to improve environmental standards and provide sustainable and affordable energy solutions.
Two staff accommodation to provide care and suppot to resident.
Keypad/fob-controlled front door connected to the fire alarm and mains power on magnetic release to ensure outstanding safety for the resident and support staff.
Temperature regulators implemented in wash hand basins.
Adaptations to ensure the resident’s safety such as an electric meter at a high level, 2m high anti-climb fence, safety film and locks/restrictors fitted to windows, and an anti-ligature radiator.
Installation of acoustic fencing across two of the boundaries within the property to reduce neighbour disturbance.
Tailored the bedroom according to the resident’s request – the bright pink bedroom. Window restrictors fitted along with lockable cabinets to ensure the resident’s safety.
