    Summary

We needed to make the space useable, future-proof it and ensure a homely environment for the resident.

Works were completed throughout the property both inside and in the garden area. Sometimes it’s the small extras that make the difference. For example, a shed was installed to allow the resident to enjoy his activities and have suitable storage space. Not only did this free up space within the bungalow but improved the resident’s wellbeing by encouraging them to spend time outdoors.

    The works included

A new kitchen designed for safety and ease of use: induction hob, lockable cupboards and new appliances.

Fire alarm installation to comply with legislation and provide a safe living environment for the resident and support workers.

Door entry system and CCTV installation to ensure the safety and security of the resident and facilitate the support worker’s role.

Wipeable walls and flooring finishes to ensure hygienic and robust living spaces that are easy to clean and maintain.

Boiler upgrade & thermostat mixer valve installation to improve the energy efficiency of the building and provide tamper-proof radiators.

Roofing repairs to reduce on-going maintenance.

Garden shed installation to provide additional space for the resident to use the secure garden area.

Hardscaping refurbishment to improve the safety and functionality of the garden space.

    Testimonials

"Both the client and the family were so impressed with the bungalow and how well it was finished. The specification is perfect and he is just so happy with his new home. We do not have a negative word to say about the building. I just want to say thank you to everyone who helped to make this possible and for the dedication shown to ensure that the bungalow met our client’s needs."

"I loved Purpose's approach and how closely they worked with the Commissioner and family to understand the resident's needs. From this and great communication, the property was finished to a very high specification - the resident is very proud to call it their 'home'."
